Monte Cristo Sliders

I love the Monte Cristo sandwiches from restaurant. The sweetness from the powdered sugar and the jelly served with them. Battered with an egg mixture. Now I can them into sliders. So fun to make and talk about having the same flavor. Amazing.

Monte Cristo Sliders

Ingredients

  • 1 12-16 ct hawaiian slider rolls
  • 2-3 TBS dijon mustard
  • 12 slices deli ham
  • 12 slices deli turkey
  • 12 slices baby swiss cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 6 TBS butter, melted
  • powdered sugar
  • jelly, strawberry or raspberry

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking dish with cooking spray or parchment paper.
  • Cut the tops from the bottoms using a serrated knife, keeping them together.
  • Spread Dijon mustard on bottom park of rolls.
  • Layer 6 pieces of cheese across the mustard.
  • Layer turkey over cheese.
  • Layer ham over turkey.
  • Layer rest of cheese over turkey.
  • Pace top layer of rolls on top of the cheese.
  • Mix the melted butter and egg together. Brush mixture over the tops of rolls.
  • Cover with tin foil.
  • Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil and cook for another 10 minutes.
  • Cool slightly. Cut rolls apart using large knife. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with jelly or jam. Enjoy.
