I love the Monte Cristo sandwiches from restaurant. The sweetness from the powdered sugar and the jelly served with them. Battered with an egg mixture. Now I can them into sliders. So fun to make and talk about having the same flavor. Amazing.
Monte Cristo Sliders
Ingredients
- 1 12-16 ct hawaiian slider rolls
- 2-3 TBS dijon mustard
- 12 slices deli ham
- 12 slices deli turkey
- 12 slices baby swiss cheese
- 1 egg
- 6 TBS butter, melted
- powdered sugar
- jelly, strawberry or raspberry
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Prepare a baking dish with cooking spray or parchment paper.
- Cut the tops from the bottoms using a serrated knife, keeping them together.
- Spread Dijon mustard on bottom park of rolls.
- Layer 6 pieces of cheese across the mustard.
- Layer turkey over cheese.
- Layer ham over turkey.
- Layer rest of cheese over turkey.
- Pace top layer of rolls on top of the cheese.
- Mix the melted butter and egg together. Brush mixture over the tops of rolls.
- Cover with tin foil.
- Bake in oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil and cook for another 10 minutes.
- Cool slightly. Cut rolls apart using large knife. Sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve with jelly or jam. Enjoy.
