I am going to make crockpot ravioli
0:03
lasagna. It's got a delicious meat
0:06
sauce, lots of cheeses, lots of flavors,
0:09
a few veggies. We've got to put that in
0:11
there, right? We're going to come down
0:13
here. I'm going to show you everything
0:15
you're going to need and then we're
0:16
going to start layering this ravioli
0:19
lasagna in the crock pot. Crock-pot just
0:22
another word for a slow cooker. All
0:24
right, come on down. I call this the
0:26
double up recipe because we're going to
0:28
be using two different types of meat. I
0:29
got ground beef and I've got some Jimmy
0:31
Dean sausage. Two vegetables. I'm going
0:34
to be using a bell pepper and onion cuz
0:36
I love to cook those into an Italian
0:38
dish with ground beef in it. We've got
0:40
two sauces going in. We've got a Alfredo
0:44
sauce and a marinara sauce. We've got
0:48
the package of a raviolis right here.
0:53
We've got garlic, salt, pepper, Italian
0:57
seasoning, some parsley. We've got two
1:00
different wet cheeses here, which we've
1:02
got the ricotta cheese and the cottage
1:03
cheese. I'm just doing these two
1:05
together because I got a little bit in
1:06
here, a little bit in here, and I can
1:07
get rid of both of those. And then we've
1:09
got two cheeses that we'll shred up. And
1:11
we've got mozzarella and parmesan
1:15
cheese. All right, you guys. First off,
1:17
we've got to come down here. Let's brown
1:20
this up. Give it a lot of flavor. the
1:22
sauces, the cheeses that build that
1:24
sauce.
1:26
Most of the layering is going to be the
1:29
sauce. And we are going to combine
1:31
everything together. I'm going to brown
1:34
up that one pound of ground beef with
1:36
that one pound of Jimmy Dean sausage.
1:39
And while that's cooking, I'm going to
1:41
go ahead and add in one diced bell
1:44
pepper and half of a yellow onion
1:48
just to add flavor. It also will bulk up
1:50
your dish.
1:53
Now, if you don't like bell peppers in
1:55
your Italian dish, your lasagna, you
1:58
don't have to put it in, but if you want
2:01
to add vegetables to it, you can take
2:03
spinach and you can layer that in with
2:04
the layers of your lasagna.
2:08
All right, let's get this done. Now, my
2:11
husband loves a good ravioli bake,
2:15
and I'm going to be doing it in the
2:16
crock pot. I've made lasagna in the
2:18
crock pot plenty of times. So, I know
2:21
that the noodles will not be gummy.
2:25
They'll hold their shape, be nice and
2:27
tender, full of flavor. You don't have
2:30
to worry about that with the ravioli.
2:33
I'm using a very deep skillet or you can
2:36
use like a spaghetti pot or anything to
2:38
cook this with because we've got a lot
2:39
of sauce going on. The ground beef and
2:42
the sausage is all browned up and broken
2:45
up. The peppers and onions are nice and
2:47
soft. I'm going to push this off to the
2:49
side. We're going to get some paper
2:51
towels and we're just going to drain off
2:52
any excess grease in there.
2:57
We're going to add one big whopping
2:59
tablespoon of some garlic
3:06
or you can mince up your own.
3:09
We're going to go in with some Italian
3:12
seasoning. Good amount.
3:16
We're going to pop in some black pepper,
3:22
about a/4 teaspoon to half a teaspoon.
3:25
We're going to add in some salt. 1/4
3:28
teaspoon.
3:30
One jar, which is the Alfredo sauce.
3:34
Now, this is Rayo's homemade roasted
3:37
garlic Alfredo.
3:41
That's going to go in
3:44
15 oz. We're going to add in the full
3:48
jar of roasted garlic marinara sauce, 24
3:52
oz. We're going to add in 6 oz of
3:56
ricotta cheese and 6 oz of cottage
3:59
cheese.
4:02
We're going to go ahead and turn off the
4:04
burner and carefully mix this all
4:07
together.
4:08
I meant to put in some parsley. Good
4:12
couple of tablespoons.
4:15
Adds a nice pop of color.
4:17
Grab a spoon. Let's give this a taste.
4:20
See if we need to adjust any seasonings.
4:28
Wow,
4:31
that is delicious. I'm not going
4:33
anywhere else with this sauce. That's
4:35
where we're keeping it. Grab your SixQ
4:37
crock pot. We're going to lightly spray
4:39
it with some non-stick cooking spray.
4:42
All right. Once we get that covered,
4:44
we're going to come take some of our
4:46
sauce and put it in the bottom of the
4:47
crock pot.
4:50
You want something for the ravioli to
4:52
sit on down there. There we go. I've got
4:56
about a pound and a few ounces of frozen
4:59
ravioli. These are the cheese ones. You
5:01
can use whatever you want. So, I'm going
5:03
to put a layer down on the bottom of the
5:06
sauce.
5:10
Now, what we're going to do is put
5:11
another layer of the sauce. A nice
5:14
healthy layer there. Mirror that around
5:16
so those are nice and smothered in that
5:18
sauce. That'll help plump up those
5:21
raviolis.
5:24
Okay, I've got a combination of 16
5:27
ounces of mozzarella cheese and about 5
5:29
oz of Parmesan cheese mixed in. And
5:32
we're going to put
5:34
a nice healthy layer right on top.
5:38
About one/3 of it.
5:46
Now on top of the cheese, we're going to
5:48
put some more ravioli. I want to make
5:50
sure I have enough for the third layer.
5:52
So I'm going to scatter these about a
5:54
little bit.
5:56
There we go. We'll put another layer of
5:58
sauce. So, whatever sauce I have right
6:00
now, I'm dividing it in half. There we
6:04
go.
6:05
We're going to put on half the cheese.
6:08
What's left?
6:12
Now, just remember if you're going to do
6:14
the spinach, just add the baby spinach
6:16
or whatever you have from the
6:18
refrigerator into the layers right after
6:21
the sauce. The rest of the ravioli.
6:25
Those look good. Rest of the sauce.
6:30
And we're going to top it with the
6:32
cheese.
6:38
We're going to place the lid on. I'm
6:39
going to cook this on high for about 2
6:42
hours or you can cook it on low for
6:44
about 4 hours. We just want those
6:47
raviolis to be heated through. We want
6:50
the cheese to be nice and melted and
6:52
bubbly. And then we'll dig in. All
6:54
right, you guys. I'll be back with a big
6:57
old spoon. We're going to give this a
6:59
try. This is done. I let it rest for
7:02
about 30 minutes. I'm going to put some
7:06
parsley on top. Give it a pop of color
7:08
up there. What do y'all think? My
7:12
ravioli lasagna in the crock pot.
7:16
Grab you a big spoon,
7:19
a bowl. Let's fill it up.
7:25
Look at that. Saucy, cheesy.
7:29
There you go, you guys.
7:34
Look at that.
7:36
Grab your fork.
7:44
There's my bite.
7:54
That sauce, that sauce is chunky,
7:58
delicious.
8:00
I love how that Alfredo sauce smooths
8:03
out that marinara sauce. Yeah, do that,
8:06
you guys. Both those flavors together.
8:11
Surprised I don't have Joseph knocking
8:13
on the door right now, but Thomas said,
8:15
"Nope, his ravioli."
8:20
M m.
8:25
That is so delicious. Thumbs up on this
8:28
one. I'll see y'all on the next episode.
8:31
It's the weekend and we're going to go
8:33
enjoy it. I'll see y'all on the next
8:35
one. Bye.
