What a great Christmas cookie. I grew up with my mom making these every year. I love these little round balls of goodness.
Pecan Ball Cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup softened margarine
- 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 2 cups pecans small pieces
coating
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated white sugar
Instructions
- Cream together margarine, sugar, and flour.
- Add pecans and mix well.
- Using 1 TBS of mixture, form into balls.
- Place onto ungreased cookie sheet. You can place these very close together, but leave a little room for heat to go around the cookie.
- Bake at 300 degrees, low and slow, for 45 minutes.
- 10 minutes before cookies come out of the oven, mix together your coating mixture of both sugars.
- Remove pecan balls out of oven and immediately place in sugar mixture a few at a time and cover the balls completely.
- Place onto your serving dish or container.
- Enjoy.
