Pecan Ball Cookies

What a great Christmas cookie.  I grew up with my mom making these every year. I love these little round balls of goodness.

Pecan Ball Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup softened margarine
  • 1/4 cup granulated white sugar
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 2 cups pecans small pieces

coating

  • 1 cup confectioners sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated white sugar

Instructions

  • Cream together margarine, sugar, and flour.
  • Add pecans and mix well.
  • Using 1 TBS of mixture, form into balls.
  • Place onto ungreased cookie sheet. You can place these very close together, but leave a little room for heat to go around the cookie.
  • Bake at 300 degrees, low and slow, for 45 minutes.
  • 10 minutes before cookies come out of the oven, mix together your coating mixture of both sugars.
  • Remove pecan balls out of oven and immediately place in sugar mixture a few at a time and cover the balls completely.
  • Place onto your serving dish or container.
  • Enjoy.
