Puff Pastry Wrapped Asparagus

Ingredients

  • 1 bunch asparagus
  • 1 sheet puff pastry
  • 1 Egg whisked with 1 tsp water
  • sea salt
  • sesame seeds

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Lay the puff pastry on a floured surface and roll out to smooth edges.
  • Slice the pastry into 16 strands about 1/2 inch thick.
  • Begin wrapping the pastry around the asparagus (if large asparagus, use one; if small asparagus, use 3). Place onto baking sheet evenly spaced.
  • Brush egg onto puff pastry and sprinkle with salt and sesame seeds.
  • Bake for 20 minutes until the pastry is golden.
  • Remove and serve.
