Puff Pastry Wrapped Asparagus
Ingredients
- 1 bunch asparagus
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 Egg whisked with 1 tsp water
- sea salt
- sesame seeds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Lay the puff pastry on a floured surface and roll out to smooth edges.
- Slice the pastry into 16 strands about 1/2 inch thick.
- Begin wrapping the pastry around the asparagus (if large asparagus, use one; if small asparagus, use 3). Place onto baking sheet evenly spaced.
- Brush egg onto puff pastry and sprinkle with salt and sesame seeds.
- Bake for 20 minutes until the pastry is golden.
- Remove and serve.
