Millionaire Fudge

Author Catherine's Plates

Ingredients

  • 2 (7 oz) jars marshmallow creme
  • 36 oz chocolate chips (I used semi-sweet)
  • 4 1/2 cups white granulated sugar
  • 1 (12 oz) can evaporated milk
  • optional (nuts or dried fruits)

Instructions

  • Lay out sheets of wax or parchment paper on counter for fudge to be placed on once done.
  • In a large stand mixer bowl or a regular large bowl add the marshmallow creme and chocolate chips and set a side.
  • In a large pot or skillet add sugar and evaporated milk. Turn burner onto a medium and stir mixture until it comes to a boil. Continue stirring for 6 minutes while boiling, scraping the bottom to keep the sugars from sticking.
  • Turn off burner and pour or ladle mixture into the bowl with the marshmallow creme and chocolate chips. Either mix by hand or using the stand mixer on a medium speed mix until smooth and creamy. At this time you can add the optional ingredients of chopped nuts and/or fruit of your choice.
  • Using 2 tablespoons, one to scoop the fudge out with and the other to push fudge out of spoon with onto the wax or parchment paper, spread for a thinner fudge. (The fudge will harden so work fast getting the fudge out of bowl and onto wax or parchment paper.
  • Let set up until cooled and solid before placing into a container.

  • When making candy. Stick of butter rub around top of pan. Just enough to cover the top of the pan. Mixture will never bubble over. Watch your show all the time . Have made some great food dishes.
