Sausage Gravy, Biscuits & Egg Casserole

Ingredients

  • 1 lb pork sausage
  • 4 TBS butter
  • 1/4 cup all purpose flour
  • 3-4 cups milk
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1 tsp dried sage
  • 1 (8 ct) tube biscuit dough
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • In a large skillet over medium high heat brown up sausage. Add in butter and melt. Add in flour and stir for 1 minute.
  • Slowly stir in milk one cup at a time. Season with salt, pepper, and sage. Stir until thickened. Turn off heat.
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cut each biscuit in to 6 pieces and place into the prepared baking dish. Pour sausage gravy evenly over the biscuits.
  • In a medium bowl, whisk eggs, milk, and salt & pepper. Pour egg mixture over sausage gravy. Sprinkle cheese evenly over egg mixture.
  • Place in preheated oven for 35-45 minutes until eggs are set and biscuits are done. Cut into squares.
