Ultimate Tex-Mex Cheese Dip (Queso)

Equipment

  • large deep 9 x 13 tin pan
  • skillet
  • cutting board & large knife

Ingredients

  • 1 lb Jimmy Dean breakfast sausage
  • 8 oz block cream cheese, cut into slices
  • 8 oz velvetta cheese, cubed
  • 8 oz shredded mexican cheese blend
  • 10 oz canned rotel tomatoes
  • 8 oz canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 TBS minced garlic
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 medium red onion, diced small
  • 3 green onions, sliced thinly
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • (opt) sliced jar jalapenos or whole jalapenos sliced

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Cook and crumble sausage until browned. Place into deep 9 x 13 baking tin pan. Add rest of ingredients. (DO NOT STIR YET.)
  • Place tin pan in preheated oven for 30 – 40 minutes until all cheeses are melted. Remove from oven and stir all ingredients together to make the cheese dip.
  • Serve with Scoops chips, tortilla chips, or Fritos.
