Whole Chicken Soup

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 celery stalks chopped in large chunks
  • 3-4 carrots, washed or peeled chopped in large chunks
  • 2 small onions chopped in large chunks
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 2 tsp dried thyme
  • 2 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 1/2 tsp dried sage
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1 (32 oz) Chicken Broth
  • 4-5 cups Water

Instructions

  • Place chicken, carrots, celery, onions, salt, pepper, parsley, thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic and chicken broth into large soup pot. Add water to cover chicken.
  • Bring soup to a boil. Turn down to low and let simmer for 1 1/2 hours until chicken falls off the bone and the vegetables are tender.
  • Take all chicken out of pot and shred the meat. Place the chicken back into broth. Enjoy.
