Whole Chicken Soup
Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 celery stalks chopped in large chunks
- 3-4 carrots, washed or peeled chopped in large chunks
- 2 small onions chopped in large chunks
- 2 tsp Salt
- 2 tsp pepper
- 2 tsp dried parsley
- 2 tsp dried thyme
- 2 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 1/2 tsp dried sage
- 2 tsp minced garlic
- 1 (32 oz) Chicken Broth
- 4-5 cups Water
Instructions
- Place chicken, carrots, celery, onions, salt, pepper, parsley, thyme, rosemary, sage, garlic and chicken broth into large soup pot. Add water to cover chicken.
- Bring soup to a boil. Turn down to low and let simmer for 1 1/2 hours until chicken falls off the bone and the vegetables are tender.
- Take all chicken out of pot and shred the meat. Place the chicken back into broth. Enjoy.
