Fried Potatoes using Whole Canned Potatoes

Cheap and easy side dish using Canned Whole Potatoes. No peeling or boiling potatoes for this recipe. Delicious.

Equipment

  • medium skillet
  • colander
  • measuring spoon
  • paper towels
  • cutting board & small sharp knife
  • spatula

Ingredients

  • 1 (15 oz) can whole potatoes
  • 2 TBS butter
  • 1-2 TBS olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp dill weed
  • 1 TBS dried parsley
  • 2 TBS parmesan cheese, grated

Instructions

  • Pour potatoes into a colander and rinse well under water to remove salt. Pat potatoes dry and cut them into quarters.
  • In a medium skillet over medium high heat, add butter and olive oil. Allow to heat to a sizzle.
  • Place in quartered potatoes. Season tops of potatoes with garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, and dill weed. Stir potatoes until they are coated with the butter and seasonings.
  • Cook 9-10 minutes stirring every few minutes until potatoes are golden brown and lightly crispy on the edges. Turn off heat.
  • Sprinkle potatoes with parmesan cheese and parsley. Enjoy.
