Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a standard size (9x5x3) loaf pan and set aside.
In a large stand mixer bowl, beat together, sugar and butter until light and creamy.
Beat in eggs one at a time until well mixed. Add in orange juice and zest and mix until fully combined.
In a medium bowl whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually add into butter mixture and beat until well combined.
Pour batter into loaf pan and smooth out.
Bake for 50-60 minutes. You should be able to pull out a toothpick clean.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes. Take out of pan and cool completely on wire rack.
To make the orange glaze, mix all glaze ingredients in a pourable container or measuring cup. (To thin glaze, add a small amount of milk. To thicken glaze add more confectioners sugar.)
Pour glaze on the top of cake. Let sit for a few minutes. Enjoy.
