Beefy Noodle Casserole with 3 Cheeses

  • 1 TBS cooking oil
  • 1 medium yellow onion, diced
  • 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 2 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 TBS granulated sugar
  • 1 (24oz) jar pasta sauce
  • 1 (8oz) package egg noodles
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 (8oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup sour cream
  • extra 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 2 cups shredded cheese (monterey jack, cheddar, or other favorite)


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.
  • Cook egg noodles per package directions for Al Dente. Drain and set aside.
  • In a large skillet saute chopped onion with 1 TBS cooking oil until softened.
  • Add ground beef to skillet, break up the meat and cook until no longer pink. Drain excess grease.
    Add in seasonings (salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, parsley).
  • Mix in pasta sauce and sugar. Turn off burner.
  • In a large bowl place cooked, drained pasta. Add in cream cheese, cottage cheese and 1/2 tsp black pepper. Stir well to combine.
  • Place 1/2 of the pasta mixture into bottom of prepared baking dish. Layer 1/2 of the meat mixture on top of pasta mixture and spread evenly. Sprinkle 1/2 of the shredded cheese over the meat mixture.
  • Place rest of pasta mixture over the shredded cheese evenly. Spread rest of meat mixture on top of the pasta mixture. Sprinkle rest of cheese over the meat mixture.
  • Bake uncovered for 30 minutes until heated through and cheese has melted.
