- In a large mixing bowl combine together hamburger patty ingredients (ground beef, eggs, panko, Worcestershire, dried parsley, salt, pepper, garlic, and onion powder.)Using a 1/2 measuring cup to measure out the patties, form into hamburger patties tightly and place on a plate. Place 4 formed hamburger patties into hot skillet and sear for 3-4 minutes until browned and a crust has formed. Turn patties over and sear an additional 2 minutes. Spray 6 quart crockpot with non-stick cooking spray and place seared patties into bottom of crockpot.Add rest of butter & oil into same skillet and sear off rest of patties & move to crockpot.
- In same skillet, remove excess grease leaving 1 TBS of the hamburger grease. Add in chopped onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until softened. Stir in garlic for one (1) additional minutes. Stir in broth, lipton onion soup mix, ketchup, and 1/4 tsp black pepper. Turn off heat and pour gravy over hamburger patties in crockpot.
- Place lid on crockpot and cook on low for 5-6 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until salisbury steaks are fork tender and cooked through.Stack the salisbury steaks in crock and pour in corn starch slurry (whisk together corn starch and water until smooth). Stir until gravy thickens.
