Grinder Sandwich

Love this sandwich. The salad & dressing pulls this sandwich together. Check out the layering technique for this one. We even toast it for an added crunch.

Equipment

Ingredients

This recipe creates 4 sandwiches

  • 4 (6 inch) hoagie buns, split in half lengthwise
  • 12 slices deli ham (any variety)
  • 12 slices deli turkey (any variety) we love the fried cajun
  • 8 slices sandwich pepperoni
  • 8 slices deli salaomi
  • 8 slices deli thin cheese (provolone, cheddar, american, or pepper jack)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices tomato

Salad Dressing

  • 1/4 head iceberg lettuce, shredded, finely
  • 1/2 cup Olive Garden Italian Dressing
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup banana peppers, sliced with juice
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Place parchment on sheet pan.
  • In a medium bowl add shredded lettuce, Italian dressing, mayonnaise, banana peppers and juice, salt & pepper. Mix well and set aside.
  • Slice buns in half lengthwise and open up. Place 2 slices of sliced cheese on one side of bun. Top with 3 slices turkey. On other side of bun place 3 slices ham, 2 slices salami, 2 slices of pepperoni, and top with 1/4 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.
  • Place in preheated oven for 5 minutes to melt cheese. Remove from oven and top with 2 tomato slices and the grinder salad dressing. Fold sandwiches and enjoy.
  • This recipe makes 4 sandwiches.
