Halloween Candy Corn Cookies
Gotta love these. These will get gobbled up so quick.
Equipment
- large mixing bowl
- sheet pans
- cooling rack
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 stick butter, melted (1/2 cup)
- 1 large egg, room temperature
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 3/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup candy corns
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with parchment paper or spray with non-stick cooking spray.
- In a large bowl mix together both sugars. Add in melted butter, vanilla and egg. Stir until combined.
- Sift in flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Stir until combined.
- Mix in chocolate chips and candy corns.
- Scoop onto prepared baking pans. Bake for 8-10 minutes until cookies are lightly browned on edges.NOTE: Some of the candy corns will melt onto sheet pan and harden during cooling down time. This is fine.
- After cookies come out of the oven, place additional candy corns and chocolate chips on hot cookie. Allow cookies to rest on pan for 5 minutes or so to set up. Remove cookies from pan and cool completely on a wire cooling rack.
