Equipment
- air fryer
- cutting board
- narrow pan
- measuring spoons
- Medium sauce pan
- whisk
- gravy boat
- cutting board & large sharp knife
- foil
Ingredients
- 1 (3 lb) frozen butterball boneless turkey breast or turkey breast roast with included gravy packet, THAWED
- 2 TBS avocado or olive oil
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp poultry seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- fresh or dried parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Turkey will come frozen. Keep frozen up until 3 days before preparation. Remove from freezer 3 days before preparation and place into a narrow pan in your refrigerator until thawed.
- NOTE: the gravy packet is inside of the package with the turkey breast. When cutting open the package please be careful that you don't slit open the gravy packet.
- Remove turkey breast from package and place on a cutting board. Pat dry with a paper towel. Loosen up the netting around the turkey breast slightly.NOTE: the netting helps the turkey breast keep its shape while cooking.
- Brush avocado or olive oil all over the turkey breast using a pastry brush.
- In a small bowl whisk together seasonings for the turkey breast. (Salt, garlic powder, onion powder, black pepper, poultry seasoning, and smoked paprika.)
- Sprinkle all of the seasoning on all sides of the turkey to cover in full. Using your hand press the seasonings into the turkey breast.
- Preheat air fryer to 350 degrees. Should take 3-4 minutes to get hot. Place turkey breast into hot air fryer basket. The cook time should be approximately 1 hour. Every 15 minutes open the air fryer and turn the turkey breast around. This should be done 3 times. (15 minutes x 3 times rotating the turkey breast)
- After 45 minutes (3 times rotating every 15 minutes) check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer in the middle thickest part of turkey breast. Temperature should be at least 165 degrees. Should take an additional 15 minutes of cook time, giving you the 1 hour.
- Remove turkey from air fryer and wrap with foil for 10-15 minutes to re-distribute the juices and keep turkey moist.
- While turkey is resting, make the turkey gravy with the packet that was included with the turkey breast. Directions are on packaging. I did add salt, black pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, poultry seasoning and smoked paprika to taste.
- Carefully remove netting around the turkey breast. Slice turkey and serve on a platter with gravy on the side. Garnish with parsley. Enjoy.
