Kool Aid Cookies

Ingredients

  • 4 .23oz pkg unsweetened kool aid (any flavors)
  • 1 1/4 cup butter, softened
  • 1 2/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs, room temperature
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 3 cups all purpose flour

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees and place parchment paper onto a cookie sheet and set a side.
  • In a large mixing bowl for a stand mixer (you can also mix ingredients by hand) cream together butter and sugar until smooth about 2-3 minutes.
  • Add in eggs and mix well. Add in salt, baking soda, and flour, mixing one cup of flour in at a time until dough is formed.
  • Evenly divide dough into 4 bowls to make 4 different varieties. Add in 1/2 – 2 pkgs of 1 flavor of kool aid per bowl. Mix well to incorporate the kool aid into the dough.
  • Using a 1 1/2 inch cookie scoop or a large tablespoon roll colored dough into ball shapes and place onto cookie sheet.
  • Place into preheated oven for 10-12 minutes. Cookie edges will be a golden tinge. Remove from oven and allow to rest on cookie sheet for 5 minutes before removing and placing cookies on a cooling rack.
  • Batch will make approx. 30 cookies using a 1 1/2 inch cookie scoop. Cookies will have a cake like consistency on the inside.
