French Onion Beef & Cheese Casserole

Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 medium yellow onion, diced
- 16 oz uncooked penne pasta
- 1 (10.5oz) can cream of celery soup
- 1 (10.5oz) can French Onion soup
- 1 cup French's Fried Onions
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/4-1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4-1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/4-1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/4-1/2 tsp onion powder
- dried parsley (garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 F degrees. Spray a 9 x 13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray and set aside.
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and add 1/2 TBS salt. Add pasta and cook until al dente per directions on package. Drain pasta and set aside in same pot.
- In a large skillet break up and brown ground beef until no longer pink. Add in diced onion and cook until onions are softened. Drain excess grease from skillet.
- Season cooked ground beef with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in both cans of soup and 1/2 of the shredded cheese.
- Pour meat mixture into the pot of cooked drained pasta and stir to combine.
- Pour meat & pasta mixture into prepared baking dish and smooth evenly.
- Top with remaining shredded cheese and top with fried onions.
- Bake in preheated oven for 20-25 minutes until cheese is melted and casserole is heated through. Top with parsley.
