Brussels Sprouts

A very delicious way to put Brussels Sprouts on your table. They will eat these up like candy.

Equipment

  • Medium sauce pan
  • medium bowl
  • large sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg fresh brussels sprouts
  • water to fill pan
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 TBS olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp minced garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, shredded

Instructions

  • Rinse and dry off brussels sprouts. Cut off the root ends and pull off 3-4 layers of leaves.
  • Bring medium pot of water to a boil. Add salt and brussels sprouts. Boil for 8 minutes. Drain brussels. Place on a cutting board and slice them in half lengthwise.
  • Place halved brussels into a medium bowl. Add in olive oil, garlic, salt & pepper. Stir carefully to combine.
  • Place brussels on a sheet pan with cut side down. Using the bottom of a cup smash each brussels flat.
  • Sprinkle parmesan cheese on each brussels sprout.
  • Bake in preheated 400 degree oven for 8-10 minutes until cheese is golden brown. Serve and enjoy.
