Spiced Apple Sauce Muffins

Fall is in the air with these apple sauce muffins and delicious apple pie spice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1 1/2 tsp apple pie spice
  • 8 oz jar applesauce

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray a standard 12 cup muffin tin.
  • In large mixing bowl, using an electric hand mixer, cream together softened butter, sugar, egg, and vanilla.
  • Add in flour, baking soda, and apple pie spice. Blend thoroughly.
  • Using a large cookie scoop divide batter between the 12 prepared muffin cups.
  • Bake in preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Test center of muffin with a toothpick for doneness.
  • Let muffins sit in the pan for 5 minutes. Remove muffins to a wire cooling rack and allow to cool for 5 minutes to set up. Enjoy.
