Equipment

  • large sheet pan

Ingredients

  • 2 (8oz) tubes refrigerated crescent rolls (original size)
  • 8 oz shredded pizza cheese (mozzarella or other favorite)
  • favorite pizza sauce for dipping pizza into

My favorite toppings (these listed below or put your favorites on)

  • 4 oz pepperoni or canadian bacon slices
  • 4 oz pork sausage, ham, or ground beef (browned up)
  • 1/2 bell pepper, sliced (sauted)
  • 1/2 yellow onion, sliced (sauted)
  • mushrooms, sliced (sauted)
  • olive slices, jalapenos, garlic or any other toppings

Coating

  • 2 TBS butter melted
  • 1/8 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/8 tsp Italian seasoning
  • fresh parsley to garnish

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Prepare all toppings ahead of time. Brown up any uncooked meat (pork sausage or hamburger. Saute fresh vegetables.
  • Cover a large sheet pan with parchment paper. (To make an even circle, place a small bowl upside down in center of sheet pan.
  • Unroll crescent rolls and pull apart into triangles. Place each triangle with the short edge near the bowl edge and the tip of each crescent should hang over the edge of pan. Over lap each roll on top of the last roll. (Don't forget to view my video instructions down below to help aid in building the ring.) Should resemble the sun. Once all 16 triangles are formed, remove the bowl.
  • Sprinkle half of the pizza cheese on the crescent roll ring closest to the inner circle. Top the cheese with toppings (cooked meat and vegetables). Top with rest of cheese.
  • Bring the tip of each triangle over the toppings and tuck underneath until all tips of crescents are pulled over and tucked. Should now resemble a ring with an empty center.
  • In a small bowl, mix together butter, garlic powder and Italian seasoning. Brush or spread evenly over the crescent ring. Bake in preheated oven for 16-20 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Garnish with parsley. Serve warm with heated pizza sauce.
