Equipment

  • sheets of foil (10" x 14" each)
  • cutting board & sharp knife
  • mason jar with lid

Ingredients

  • large garlic bulbs
  • olive or avocado oil
  • salt (optional)

Instructions

  • Cut the stems off of the garlic bulb 1/4 inch down into the bulb. (You should see the garlic cloves.)
  • Place garlic bulb onto center of foil sheet. Drizzle with oil. Sprinkle with salt (optional). Wrap garlic up into the foil sheet loosely. Place in baking pan.
  • Place in preheated 400 degree oven for 35-45 minutes. (35 – 40 minutes for small to medium bulbs and 40-45 minutes for medium to large bulbs.)
  • Remove from oven and open up foil. Allow to cool for 10 minutes or so until easy to hold. Squeeze bulb using the foil or your hand to release the roasted cloves from the bulb.
